Walk it off

I like this little video that's appeared on The Breeders website - here's the deal - you click the different views (1-4) and you sort of cut your own version. This is the first time I've seen this sort of idea and it is very clever. In fact it's just another example of some new video forms that are floating around the web. At the moment there seems to be some subtle evolutions to the ways we watch moving image on the web. I'm enjoying long photos on flickr - there are some amazing pieces. I think I'm the last person in the world to see Flight of the Concords. On my last day in London I bought the box set at the BBC shop (30% deduction for ID holders...cool) and took it on holiday to France with me. I stole a few lazy mornings watching the first series and enjoyed it so much. It is wonderful.

I wanted to do a little post about it when I got home and thought instead of the guys, it would be nice to feature the Concords' most devoted fan...well, their only fan - Mel. Kristen Schaal plays her very sweetly, a bit mad with a dash of sinister and a hint of psychotic. I found out that Kristen has a Vimeo site where there are some gems including this one above. By the way the music is by a band called Pinback who are a worth checking out for their own videos.
